MICHAEL CANFIELD

Michael Canfield
Co-Founder

Michael Canfield brings a Buffalo and Western New York perspective to CADIG, with an evaluation focus shaped by one of the region’s most active hockey development environments.

Western New York gives players access to multiple development layers — community and youth programs, AAA hockey, the Buffalo Jr. Sabres pathway and connections into junior and college hockey. Michael’s scouting perspective is built around understanding how a player is progressing within that environment, not simply where the player is today.

He focuses on the details that translate as competition increases: skating, hockey sense, pace, compete level, decision-making, consistency, coachability and the ability to adapt. His regional knowledge helps CADIG evaluate both the player and the development context around them.
